The Khorgos International Centre of Boundary Cooperation JSC is a public company established under the Agreements between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Government of the People's Republic of China for the purpose of creation of the Khorgos International Center for Transfrontier Cooperation at the Kazakhstan and China border in the Panfilov district of Almaty region.
Speaker of the Senate Kassymzhomart Tokayev today received the President of the People's Political Consultative Conference of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, PRC Askhat Kerimbaya. At the meeting discussed the strengthening of bilateral relations, the foundation of which is still trading. It was noted that trade turn between Kazakhstan and Xinjiang are growing every year. The head of the Senate informed his interlocutor about the upcoming OSCE summit in Astana in early December, and renewed his invitation to the Chairman of the Standing Committee of National People's Congress Wu Bangguo to visit Kazakhstan for an official visit. This year marks five years of our joint work on the construction of the international boundary cooperation center Khorgos. Next year we plan to launch cross-border outpost, and in advance to resolve all issues, we are negotiating with the Kazakh colleagues.
